South Asia Coalition

The CCC SEAC prioritises Freedom of Association in its advocacy. As civic spaces shrink across the region and laws increasingly prioritise investment and business growth, workers face significant obstacles in organising and fighting for their basic rights. The coalition actively pushes global brands to uphold their responsibility to ensure Freedom of Association within their supply chains. This includes supporting workers who experience FoA violations, such as union-busting activities, and empowering migrant workers to advocate for their rights.

Beyond FoA, CCC SEAC tackles critical workplace challenges, including:

• Worker Safety and Health: Advocating for safe working environments.
• Gender-Based Violence in the Workplace (GBHV): Addressing harassment and violence faced by women workers.
• Fair Wages: Campaigning for annual minimum wage reviews and pushing for fair compensation that meets workers’ needs.

The coalition is also engaged in promoting Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) laws and regulations. By identifying opportunities and anticipating challenges, CCC SEAC equips its members with the knowledge and tools to navigate emerging laws and industry trends effectively. This includes capacity-building initiatives and advocacy efforts that empower members to lead impactful campaigns.

Through collaboration, advocacy, and capacity-building, the CCC South East Asia Coalition remains vital in protecting workers’ rights and advancing equity across the region.
